In December 2005 during the Christmas season, many employees of Control Services worked 4 hour shifts during their normal work days at the Mission for All Nations located in South Omaha . The Mission feeds and clothes the poorest of the poor in the community. Employees sorted donated food, clothing, built shelving and even installed new light fixtures. Everyone involved was impressed with what this organization is trying to do and wants to continue next year.
This summer, because of concerns of crime in the area and some USDA regulations the director came to Phil Fenton , manager of Control Services Security division with some immediate electronic security needs. The result of this was that Control Services donated an entire Camera and Burglar Alarm System to the Mission for All Nations. The system does not install itself so two employees stepped up to the plate and volunteered their time on a Saturday to get the installation done. Kevin Jones and Tom Crawford along with some assistance from Phil Fenton put the system in and checked it out. The Mission is now secure and meets the necessary USDA regulations. Phil is even donating the money to pay for the monthly monitoring costs. A HUGE thank you to Kevin, Tom and Phil for volunteering to make this happen! This was truly going above and beyond expectations!
After seeing how much in need the Mission was and how warmly our contribution was received, the guys working on this project felt like they truly got more out of giving than receiving!
Thanks again Kevin Jones, Tom Crawford and Phil Fenton!
